Abstract of Seminar Contents:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) will disrupt the future of government work. Are you ready? Numerous industry experts predict that AI and robotics will be integrated into nearly every aspect of our daily lives by 2025 (Pew Research Center) and that most will be unprepared to properly integrate and leverage the new technologies. This PD event will explore the latest trends in AI, AI related terms and definitions, provide an opportunity to view and interact with AI systems currently in use, and facilitate a discussion on the future of artificial and augmented intelligence and its role in government technology.

There will be four (4) demonstrations of Artifical and Augmented Intelligence from leaders in the industry: Accenture, IBM, ESRI, and Microsoft.  Each demo will last about 20 minutes before participants rotate to the next demo area.  The details of the demonstration areas can be found in the attachments list.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will walk away with a clear understanding of this rapidly evolving area and the important trends that are shaping this technology space. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with AI enabled systems during hands-on demonstrations with Accenture, IBM, ESRI, and Microsoft and consider how these systems might be used in their own agencies.  A panel session at the end of the session will allow participants to interact with the presenters.

The demonstrations will continue after the close of the event till 2 PM for those interested in more hands-on experience with the newest technology.
