ASSOCIATION OF DATA PROCESSING MANAGERS

MINUTES FOR MEETING OF

FEBRUARY 2ND, 1984

The meeting was called to order by Dennis Jones at Arnold’s Restaurant.

Dale Putnam was introduced as the Data Processing Manager for the Department of Corrections. Jean Simmons was introduced as a Guest.

In Don Brown’s absence, Dennis Jones introduced the program speaker, Shawn Pickett, OFM coordinator for the Governor ‘s Cost Control Task Force. Shawn presented information on the results of the tasks force for several major areas in state government. A report of the results can be obtained from the Office of Financial Management.

Jim Michaels reported for the Data Processing Authority. There was not a Board meeting in January. The DPA recently received a large equipment request from DSHS.

Ruben Marti reported for the Training Division. He reminded everyone that we have to start thinking about the Fall Forum. He also asked for some planning volunteers from the Service Centers.

John Dawson reported that the technical class committee was having a hard time defining the differences between class levels, but that the committee was still planning a March completion.

Because the Secretary/Treasurer was not present, a specific treasury report was not made.

The meeting was adjourned.
