Allen Schmidt, IPMA Chair, opened the April 2007 meeting of the IPMA Board of Directors .

Approval of Minutes: The minutes from the March 2007 Board Meeting were approved.

Treasurer’s Report: There were no questions regarding the materials sent out by Phil Coates.

Forum: the Board discussed the gift item for the Forum. It was moved and seconded that the gift be a mug with the IPMA logo. Phil Grigg is in charge of selecting and ordering a supply of mugs sufficient for the Forum and with some left for follow-on IPMA events based on costs. The Board set a limit to be spent on mugs up to $5000. Motion passed.

Professional Development: The April 17 event has 80 persons registered. The topic is Peer Mentoring. Reminder that June 26, 2007 Neal Witten: No-nonsense Advice for Successful Projects

Executive Seminar: No update at this meeting. Phil asked for volunteers to work on identifying speakers and topics.

Event Registration System Status: Fran reported on the work of the Test Team and their recommendation to accept the LKE Systems package to register attendees for the next Professional Development event. Fran moved to accept the system to use for the June PD event with the understanding that the Test Team will continue meeting every Friday to resolve issues that still exist with the system. Motion was seconded and passed. The Board agreed to review a contract with LKE at the annual planning meeting in November.

LeaderPath: We need five stewards, one for each capstone project. So far Jim Albert, DIS, has volunteered to be one and Allen Schmidt and Ann Bruner, both OFM, will team up for another.

CIO Breakfast: Dennis Jones joined the meeting in progress and provided an update on planning for the CIO Breakfast next week on April 19th. The Board said they would be open to hosting more CIO breakfasts depending on feedback on the April 19 event.

Next Meeting: The next Board meeting will be Thursday, May 10, 2007.
